Location of the Villa

The holiday villas are located on the road to the village of Aghios Dimitrios in a peaceful and beautiful countryside area. Rethymnon with it's pretty, often vibrant Venetian port and old town is approximately 12km away; offering bus services to Heraklion / Knossos, Chania, Samaria gorge, all roughly an hour away. Lake Kournas is about 20 minutes away and well worth a visit. Arkadi monastery, well known for it's history is just a short drive away.

Shopping facilities for everyday's necessities can be found at the neighbouring village of Pigi just 300 meters away and you will find a butcher, baker, mini markets, Taverna's and an internet cafe. Larger supermarkets, including a Lidl, can be found on your way to the beach resort "Platanias" just 5 km away.

You will find Platanias to be a lively resort with plenty of pubs, clubs and restaurants as well as golden sandy beaches to relax in and enjoy your holiday in Crete.

You will find Villa Stefanos within easy reach of Chania airport and the town of Rethymnon. The owners recommend hiring a car from the airport, and have stated that they will happily meet any guests at the edge of Platanias and show them all the way to the villa.

The villa is approximately at the same distance from both the airports of Heraklion & Chania - about 75 km.

The port of Rethymnon is 12 km approximately where there are ferries to the mainland of Greece and in the summer to Santorini.

Suitable For

The owner of the villa has stated that the property is suitable for; families, couples, older travellers and smokers although you can only smoke in designated areas of the villa. Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a non returnable deposit of 20%. Balance is payable 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Payment by bank transfer to Greek bank account.
