Villa Poppy is a newly build modern villa. It has a very large tiled area which has a barbeque for your added enjoyment and a number of different rockeries planed with cacti, herbs and colourful flowers.

The main entrance of Villa Poppy leads into the most spacious lounge with new leather sofas, a leather mirror and a light of flooring for easy reading. Outside you can savour those glorious views from the garden or from the terraces surrounding the private pool which is also lit up at night if you fancy a dip.

Location of the Villa

The villa is located in Plaka, a tiny, laid-back, hillside village set on the hill directly above the popular bay of Almirida. The views of Souda Bay from this area are second to none. The community has a friendly and truly international flavour, as it has become the home of many people from abroad.

The village is approximately 22 kilometres from Chania, in Chania Prefecture.

It is located just above from Almirida Beach and the neighbouring villages Kambia, Kokkino Horio, Kalives and Gavalohori are all just a few minutes drive.

At the small village square there are a few traditional taverns, mini markets and coffee shops, where you can enjoy the village atmosphere as the friendly locals go about their business in typical laid- back fashion.

Almirida has a long beach that is popular with families. Wind surfers, kayaks, paddle boats and beach chairs can be rented on the beach. There are many taverns, bars, snack and cafe bars and gift shops to browse through.

Car hire is recommended to get to Villa Poppy and for getting around the area of Plaka. It will take approximately 40 minutes to travel here from Chania airport.

There are Taverna's and shops within about 1km which can easily be walked if needed. Its a short drive to the main beach in the area so car hire is well worth considering.

You can arrange for car hire to be picked up at Chania airport and the owner will provide you will directions when you book the villa.

Suitable For

The owner of Villa Poppy has stated that the property is suitable for; families, couples, older travellers and smokers although you can only smoke in designated areas of the villa. Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a non returnable deposit of 20%. Balance is payable 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Payment by bank transfer to Greek bank account.
