Location of the Villa

The villa is located in Georgioupolis and overlooking Lake Kournas which is just a short stroll away and it has sandy shores and a few bars to relax in and let the children play. Lake Kournas is also popular for freshwater fishing and you can also hire a pedalo or boat and get around the lake.

Georgioupolis is just 5km away and is a picturesque resort unhampered by tourists and keeps a traditional Greek fell. Here you will find quite a few local restaurants and cafes as well as some bars to sit and watch the sunset.

You are also close to the likes of Samaria |Gorge and you can easily arrange to tour this wonderful place in local travel agents in Georgioupolis. You can also do some fantastic scuba diving on the wrecks and reefs of west Crete.

The town of Chania is only 40km away so you will find plenty do do if you like shopping or exploring the local history and culture.

Car hire is recommended to get to Villa Melia, its just 40km from Chania airport and car hire is recommended. The villa owners will kindly leave you instructions and give you full directions when you book.

The village of Georgioupolis is just 5km drive away and is a lovely resort with plenty going on including fantastic sandy beaches and a multitude of cafes, restaurants and bars.

You can arrange for car hire to be picked up at Chania airport and the owner will provide you will directions when you book the villa.

The owner of Villa Melia has stated that the property is suitable for children and families. Pets are allowed but please consult with the owner first. You need to pay 25% of the booking before departure to secure your dates.
