We booked our holiday with Holidays2Crete and stayed at the Oasis Village in Malia, we got picked up from Heraklion airport by the hotel owner who was very friendly and spoke good English, it took about 30 minutes to get to the apartments.

The Oasis apartments are very nice and clean, the pool was lovely and warm for June and the bar was open every night.(great for coming back after a night out drinking when the clubs had closed) It wasn’t far to walk to the main strip and only took like 5 minutes. Malia in June was busy but not crammed, the prices are good especially if your a girl as you can talk the barmen into free shots and fishbowls. (Flirting a must girls!!!)

The beach was really busy and sun beds you have to pay for! But not that expensive or just bring your own towels and camp out on the sand. Malia was a great holiday and it was cheap for us being students booking apartments and flights separately.

Chania Airport (CHQ) is the international airport for the West of the island, serving the likes of Chania city, Souda and Rethymnon. Buses do not run frequently from the airport so your best bet is a taxi or car hire. Chania accepts most international flights from all destinations.
