You'll never be disappointed with a trip here. I have been 10 times over the last 15 years and its always been a great trip. These are the best Greeks you'll ever meet....can't recommend it enough and whilst the hotel might only be down as a 2 star, the 5 star people make it the difference. ...
It's a great family run hotel!

This place is for everyone. Perhaps now being a seasoned veteran of the great place (first went when I was nineteen... now slightly older). You'll never meet nicer Greeks in Nicos, Manolis, Elen and Yiorgo. If I had the cash I'd buy the place... a very special part of Greece. Great pool and bar and the Sun Beach isn't too far away either, for everyone. Whilst the hotel may be only 2 star, you'll have a five star experience... bit like being in Runcorn!
Bad Points
Only lack of AirCon! Beach towels going missing off the balcony! Boots getting chucked in the pool.
General Comments
The Elen is part of Malia folklore. Rooms 19 and 12 are a personal recommendation. Also, generally around the time of August Bank Holiday weekend is a great time to visit as many friends of the Elen gather to enjoy the past and indeed future history being made.

The owners
were very friendly and helpful, especially when our transfer bus came early and left
us stranded to get to the airport. They arranged a taxi and paid the driver for us.
We
met several people at Elen Hotel who had been there a few times and I would definitely
go back as it offered excellent value for money. I don't understand how people can
say towels etc were never changed -
