Efi Hotel -
This hotel is on the beach road but set back about 50 meters from the main strip, rooms are large and spacious and well lit, unless you get the basement rooms which have less sunlight but a nice garden to sit out in. Again rooms are traditional but slightly more modern.
All come with air conditioning and safes, as well as 24 hour security on the property. The hotel has an attached swimming pool and would have to be one of the deepest and largest in Malia It also shares swimming pools with Malia Holidays Hotel.
Breakfast is available early in the morning and follows Greek continental, consisting of tea, coffee and toast.
Efi hotel is soooo close to the main strip of Malia its great, bit of a trek from where we go dropped off but the rep helped us most of the way.
The hotel is quite old looking, but nice enough. The rooms are large, well most of them anyway unless you get the basement rooms.
The pool was closed when we went, some sort of problem with the pool bar. The owners OK, bit strict on noise considering we were in Malia but we had no problems with him.
Malia was great and will defo go again, try Factory and Midway bar for a good nite

Nice hotel although rooms are very dated. Pool f***ing massive, stayed there most of the time, bar was a bit expensive though.
Libra trips were a good deal, did bar crawl and waterpark. Didnt see much of the owner except at breakfast which we made once and gave up with. Breakfast very basic, just toast and jam and coffee, tea etc.
Stayed at Efi Hotel independently booking it though the internet, the owner was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, loved the hotel, loved the gardens and the pools surrounding the area. Will be going back again next year.
