Dafni Studios -
These studios are situated off the beach road, near the beach (well about 5 minutes from it) But they are about 15 minutes walk from the actual centre where you find the bars and clubs. The road its situated on has many a nice little Taverna though so you don’t have far to find food. Also a supermarket is just a couple of minutes down the road.
The rooms here are very small and only sleep 2 or 3 people depending on room. They are quite modern but showing their age a little now. Basic cooking facilities in the room and fans and safes to rent at the bar. The pool is a good size and is well kept.
The place is run by a nice couple who do food all day long and keep the bar open to the early hours of the morning if people hang around.
I have just come back from a week in Malia, staying at the Dafni. I was pleased with the rooms as they had everything in there that we needed (a bed, fridge, cooking rings, pans, fridge, balcony) and everyone was so cheerful and helpful here.
Dafni is a great place to stay but go with an open mind and have fun. Ill be back there next year!
