Piskopiano Village

Where to eat in Piskopiano?
There’s quite a few Taverna’s and restaurants crammed into this hillside village, your first point of call must be the Taverna Lychnos, a well placed Greek restaurant with exceptional service and exquisite food. You must try the Moussaka here, and also the Stifado and roast belly of pork. A unique aspect of this restaurant, is that if you arrive at the right time of year you can even join in on grape pressing which is how they get the wine ready for next year.
Another great place to try is restaurant David’s where the prices are very low but the food quality is very high. It has a very traditional look and feel and you can tell its a quality restaurant as the locals also eat here.
Moving onto Taverna Dionysus where you can pick up an excellent cheap breakfast, Greek style of course but very good and sets you up for the day. The speciality of this restaurant has to be the Stifado, which you have to try before you leave. If the Stifado stew is not for you try their excellent chicken dishes. For the kids they do some lovely pizza’s so you can keep everyone happy.
For a quick takeaway try Pizza in Piskopiano, the pizza here is freshly made and baked and far outstrips anything you would find in a equivalent takeaway in the UK.
