A lot of people don’t realise this but you can make cheap calls to Greek landline's and mobile numbers by just dialling a phone number before your desired number.

There are a few companies out there that offer this service, with no contract or special terms and can save you an absolute fortune.

For example phoning a Greek mobile can cost anything from 20p to 50p per minute, but by dialling an 0871 access number and then my number I was getting calls for just 10p per minute.

Call Crete or Greece for just 1p a minute

All you need to do is dial 0843 715 7777 before you dial your overseas number. Your call is then charged at only 1p a minute, regardless of when you call or where in Greece you're calling.

Its that simple, you dial that number then it asks you to dial your required number with international dialling code.

Save 13p per minute vs BT international calls

The call will appear on your bill in the normal way, but the number dialled will show as 0843 715 7777 . More importantly, instead of paying 14p per minute to call Greece via BT, you'll simply have paid 1p a minute, anytime of day or night.

No registration or contracts...

You dont need to register to use this service, you just go straight ahead and dial. You don’t need any passwords or PIN numbers either.

Call Greece mobiles for just 6p flat rate

If you have a friend, son or daughter working or living in Crete and they have a Greek Vodafone sim card in, then you need to use this service to stay in contact with them on the cheap.

The best way to do this is to use 0872 548 7777, then wait for the dial tone then dial the full Greek mobile number starting with 0030.

These calls are charged at 10p per minute from UK landline's, and save you an absolute fortune if you keep regular contact.

The numbers above are supplied by Planet-numbers.co.uk and the calls are routed via the internet. Thus avoiding BTs network and making them cheaper.

If you have to constantly call Greece landline's it may work out cheaper to use BT international freedom package which costs £5 per month and you get unlimited free calls to Greek landline's as well as 34 other countries.
